Our Team

The hands and hearts behind the mission.

More Precious Than Pearls is carried forward by a team on the ground in Tanzania — educators, clergy, and caregivers who work alongside founder Brandy to bring dignity, health, and hope to girls and women across the Archdiocese of Songea. These are the people who show up, village after village, and make the mission real.

Rev. Fr. Charles Gabriel Mugenyi

Co-Founder & Team Leader

Rev. Fr. Charles Gabriel Mugenyi

I am Rev. Fr. Charles Gabriel Mugenyi, a Roman Catholic priest of the Archdiocese of Songea, Tanzania. I first met Brandy in 2021, and through our conversations I quickly recognized her deep compassion and her genuine heart for serving the less privileged in our communities.

As we discussed the struggles faced by many of our parishioners — especially young girls and women — Brandy was deeply moved by the challenges caused by poverty, limited education, harmful cultural stigmas, and inadequate access to health resources. Together, we shared a vision to bring hope, education, and dignity to vulnerable communities throughout our region.

From that shared vision, More Precious Than Pearls was born, with a strong focus on empowering girls and women through menstrual health education, hygiene awareness, and broader health initiatives.

Our team has traveled into remote areas across the Archdiocese of Songea, ensuring that even the most underserved communities receive support, education, and encouragement. I am honored to be a leader of the More Precious Than Pearls team as we continue working to restore dignity, hope, and opportunity to those we serve.

Prosper Mlelwa

Coordinator of Programs

Prosper Mlelwa

I’m Prosper Mlelwa, from Songea, Tanzania, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in Education. Before working with MPTP, I served as the training coordinator at a vocational school, where I gained a deep understanding of the challenges girls face in trying to stay in school.

I met Brandy in 2021 when she visited that vocational training center. We clicked instantly in our shared passion and drive to make a difference on these issues, and I joined the team as Coordinator of Programs.

Today, I carry the day-to-day work of the mission here in Tanzania. I’m responsible for ordering and managing our inventory, sourcing the educational materials we bring into classrooms, overseeing the plumbing and upkeep at the House of Blessings, and handling the financial side of our operations. From the smallest supply run to the larger decisions that keep everything running, I make sure the pieces are in place so the work never has to stop.

It’s a responsibility I hold with pride, because every detail handled well means another girl reached and another day the mission moves forward. I absolutely love being part of this work, and I have seen firsthand the lasting change it creates in the lives of the people we serve.

Anna Lugome

Health & Education Outreach

Anna Lugome

My name is Anna Lugome, and I am from Songea, Tanzania. I am deeply passionate about women’s health and education, and I am committed to ensuring that young girls in my community have the knowledge, resources, and confidence they need to stay in school and reach their full potential.

This work is deeply personal to me, because I was once one of those girls myself. Growing up and attending school in Tanzania, I lacked access to reproductive health education and proper sanitary products. I experienced the shame, confusion, and missed school days that so many girls still face today because of limited support and resources. When I met Brandy during her mission work in my home village, my life changed. Through her guidance, education, and compassion, I received the support and knowledge I had gone without for so long — and that experience inspired me to help ensure other girls would not have to face the same struggles alone.

Today, I am proud to work alongside Brandy and the More Precious Than Pearls team, visiting schools to educate girls about reproductive health, break cultural stigmas, and create safe spaces for honest conversations. Together, we also provide high-quality reusable sanitary pads, helping eliminate period poverty so girls can remain in school with dignity, confidence, and hope for their future.

Rev. Fr. Pascal Mwajombe

Spiritual Advisor

Rev. Fr. Pascal Mwajombe

I am Rev. Fr. Pascal Mwajombe, a Catholic priest of the Archdiocese of Songea. I had the privilege of meeting Brandy in Songea, where she was passionately serving secondary school girls through education on menstrual health, the prevention of early pregnancies, and the distribution of essential hygiene supplies.

Brandy and I connected immediately and became close friends — we share the same sense of humor and the same passion for helping others. She asked me to join the More Precious Than Pearls team, and I gladly accepted, because I have witnessed firsthand the dignity, confidence, and hope this work restores to young girls and women.

I believe it is our shared responsibility to replace harmful cultural practices with compassion, education, dignity, and respect — empowering girls to recognize their worth and pursue a brighter future.

Jacob Nchimbi

Laboratory Technician

Jacob Nchimbi

My name is Jacob Nchimbi, and I am a laboratory technician working in the MPTP laboratory in the Namtumbo district of Tanzania. I met Brandy in 2022, when she visited our area with Fr. Charles. She was excited to hear I had completed my studies and earned my certification as a laboratory technician, because she wanted to add healthcare to her education program.

It has always been my dream to open a laboratory and help people, and I was honored to join the MPTP team, which has helped make that dream come true. Our MPTP laboratory provides the basic testing needed to address underlying health issues.

By linking laboratory testing with educational outreach, our program ensures that people are not just informed but actively empowered with accurate data about their bodies. The lab transforms awareness into real health solutions, making our community healthier and more resilient.

One team. One mission.

Their work doesn’t happen without people who stand behind it.

Every kit handed out, every school visited, every girl who stays in class — it’s all carried by this team. Step in alongside them, or help fund the mission they’re building.
